  • In this scenario, we will always prioritise volunteers from our sponsor firms. After this, we will choose based on those who most closely match the volunteer request.

  • Absolutely! Feel free to share the latest volunteer newsletter with them or direct them to this page to fill out our Volunteer Registration form to receive it themselves going forward.

There is a stunning lack of gender diversity within the investment management community.

Fewer women apply to entry-level roles in  investment  management and there is a significant drop-off rate as women progress through their careers. At GAIN, we want to change this.

We surveyed 16-21 year old women across state and private sixth forms and universities, as well as recent graduates and the findings were striking:

1.Young women don’t understand what investing means, and why it is important to  society;

2.There are few female and non-binary industry role models available to young women

Let’s work together to change this

If you’re passionate about helping us to changing a status quo which is inequitable, self-perpetuating, and detrimental to high-quality investment decision making, there are many ways we can work together to help meet our objective to increase the female and non-binary application rate in the UK investment industry.

For GAIN sponsors, we can create a bespoke partnership that meets your needs and:

  • raises the visibility of your company with our network of schools, companies and volunteers

  • demonstrates your commitment to diversity & inclusion to your clients and audiences

  • helps build & diversify your talent pipeline

  • engages and inspires your employees

Could you help us in our mission to get more young women into the investment management industry?

The GAIN Jobs & Opportunities Board was created to provide a space for our student network to access roles within the investment & savings industry that they otherwise might not be aware of.

For investment firms, it provides access to a large network of women and non-binary students, graduates and industry professionals. GAIN partners with university societies across the UK (all UK universities are eligible) and with secondary schools & colleges across England & Wales.

We will post both investment and non-investment opportunities but please note that our audience tends to be more focused on investment decision-making roles. Whilst early career opportunities are the most popular amongst our network, we will also consider posting more experienced level roles depending on the role itself.

·       GAIN sponsor firms can post unlimited roles throughout the year* however no more than three roles can be posted at any one time. We will also amplify these roles to our student network in our newsletter and via LinkedIn should you wish us to.

·       Non-sponsor firms can post unlimited roles throughout the year* however only one role can be posted at any one time. Even though there is no fee to post, if the role is successfully filled through our network, we will charge a small fee of £1500 to cover our administrative costs in running the jobs board. There is no fee to source an intern through the Jobs Board for a placement or internship that lasts less than 6 months.

*Please note, that we will not post internships whilst our own Internship Programme is open.

If you would like to post a role on our jobs board, the process is very easy. Please complete the application form below.

Fundraise for Us!

When you fundraise for GAIN, you help ensure that finance is not a barrier to women and non-binary individuals interested in a career in investment management.

Every penny raised goes into the GAIN Bursary.

At GAIN, we empower young women and non-binary individuals by providing them with free resources, organising events, and offering programs in the investment management industry. We ignite inspiration in them through a network of industry role models who speak at events and provide mentorship.

By fundraising for GAIN, you can make a significant difference in the lives of these individuals. All proceeds from fundraising activities will be donated to our GAIN bursary, ensuring that financial barriers do not exclude young talent from accessing our events and programmes.

Who can fundraise?

We welcome anyone to fundraise for us whether you’re an individual, a school group, a university society, or a corporate team demonstrating your commitment to bridging the gender diversity gap in the industry.

Why fundraise rather than donate?

Fundraising is an engaging way to actively demonstrate your support for our mission. It offers you an exciting opportunity to try something new, take on a challenge, and truly make a difference.

Use your fundraiser to ignite a sense of camaraderie, connection, or even friendly competition (!) among your friends and peers.

Each person you involve in your fundraiser, be it a friend, colleague, or neighbor, becomes a valuable part of the GAIN network. Through their involvement, we are able to inspire and empower more young women and non-binary individuals in the investment management industry.
